If you were absent on Thursday Feb. 24

Chemistry A- The class took the Chemical Quantities Test.

Intro to Chemistry- First, the students took the Chapter 23 Test. Second, the class worked on a Science World. Finally, I assigned the students to read section 1 of Chapter 24.

Integrated Science B- The class took a test over the Periodic Table.

If you were absent on Wednesday Feb. 23

Chemistry A- First, the class took notes over empirical and molecular formulas. Then, the students went to the media center to work on their WebAssign. The Chemical Quantities test is tomorrow.

Intro to Chemistry- We started class by taking a practice quiz on the Glencoe website. Next, the students worked on a review worksheet. The Chapter 23 Test is tomorrow.

Integrated Science B- To start things off, the students did Activity 14 out of the IEY book. When they were finished, they answered the data processing questions on page 89.

If you were absent on Monday February 21st

Chemistry A- First, the class took a quiz over molar conversions. Then, the students worked on their WebAssign.

Intro to Chemistry- To begin class, the students graded the worksheet over Chapter 23 Review. Next, the class finished the measurement of the double replacement lab. Then, the students took an extra credit quiz over reactions. Finally, the students worked on Page 746 #1-17. We graded page 746 when the class was finished.

Integrated Science B- To start things off, the class took notes over acids and bases. Next, the studnets read activity 14 in the IEY book. Finally, the students performed a 1/10 dilution.

If you were absent on Friday Feb. 18th

Chemistry A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the percent composition worksheet. Next, the class performed a lab over percent composition. We will have a Molar Conversions quiz on Monday.

Intro to Chemistry- The class began by grading the Reinforcement worksheet on section 3. Next, the students performed a lab on Double Replacement. Finally, I assigned a Chapter 23 Review Worksheet.

Integrated Science B- To start things off, the students took a test over the Periodic Table. Next, they continued to work on the Science World: Oceans Revealed. The Science World will be due on Monday.

If you were absent on Thursday Feb. 17th

Chemistry A- The class started by 1/2 sheet scrapping the two worksheets from Tuesday. Second, I collect the lab over Determining the Gram Atomic Mass of an Element. Next, the students got into co-op learning groups to go over their conversions I quiz. Finally, I worked examples of how to calculate percent composition. I assigned a worksheet over percent composition.

Intro to Chemistry- First, the students grade the worksheet over identifying chemical equations. Next, the class took a quiz over balancing equations. Third, I presented the powerpoint over Chapter 23 section 4. Lastly, I assigned the worksheet Section 3 Reinforcement.

Integrated Science B- Class started by taking a quiz over the periodic table. After the quiz, the students worked on the Science World- Oceans Revealed. The students will finish the Science World tomorrow. Also, the Periodic Table Test is tomorrow.

If you were absent on Wednesday Feb. 16th

Chemistry A- The class performed a lab to determine the Gram Atomic Mass of an element. Don't forget the two worksheets due tomorrow.

Intro to Chemistry- To start class off, we grades the worksheet over Balancing Equations II. Next, I presented notes on section 3 of Chapter 23. After performing two demonstrations of replacement reactions, I assigned a worksheet over Identifiny Chemical Equations.

Integrated Science B- First, the students performed a lab on Identifying Metals and Nonmetals. Next, the class finished the Periodic Table (Nuts and Bolts) lab. Both labs will be due tomorrow. Also, there will be a quiz over the periodic table tomorrow.

If you were absent on Tuesday February 15th

Chemistry A- To start things off, I worked two of the problems from the Practice Quiz. Next, I demonstrated how to calculate the Molar Density of a gas. After completing four practice problems on density, the students took a quiz over molar conversions. Finally, I assigned two worksheets (Molar Volume and Molar Density). Tomorrow we will complete a Lab over Molar Mass of an element.

Intro to Chemistry- First, the students worked the homework problems on the Smartboard. Next, the class took a quiz over Chapter 23 vocabulary. Finally, I assigned the Balancing Equations II worksheet.

Integrated Science B- Today, the students started class by performing a Lab over Flame Tests. Next, the class continued to work on the Nuts and Bolts Periodic Table lab.

If you were absent on Monday Feb. 14th

Chemistry A- Today, the students started class by 1/2 Sheet Scraping the worksheet over conversion problems. Second, select students volunteered to work the problems on the board. Next, I presented notes on molar volume. Finally, I assigned a practice quiz. The students will take a conversion quiz tomorrow.

Intro to Chemistry- First, we graded the class practice on balancing equations. After this, the students worked the problems on the SmartBoard. Next, I graded the students vocabulary words. Finally, I assigned a worksheet over balancing equations. The students will have a vocab quiz tomorrow.

Integrated Science B- To start things off, I graded the periodic table coloring assignment. Next, we went over the quiz- periodic table #1. Then, the students started a lab on the periodic table. We will work on the lab tomorrow as well. Finally, I assigned a worksheet over the periodic table (Chapter 19).

Chemistry A- The students started class by 1/2 sheet scrapping the Moles to Mass worksheet. Next, they got into co-operative learning groups and discussed the worksheet. Finally, I assigned a worksheet titled "Conversion Problems".

Intro to Chemistry- First, the students finished the Balancing Equations Activity Lab. Next, I assigned a worksheet titled "Balancing Equations Class Practice".

Integrated Science B- To start class off, I collected Activity 18 from yesterday. Next, the students worked on the computer completing an OGT practice test. Finally, the students worked on the Periodic Table coloring project that we started on Wednesday. The coloring project is due on Monday.

Chemistry A- First, the students got into cooperative learning groups and went over the worksheet on converting using Avogadro's number. Next, I introduced converting from moles to mass. After working some examples, I assigned a worksheet over converting from moles to mass.

Intro to Chemistry- Class started by taking notes over the Chapter 23 Powerpoint presentation (Section 2). Next, I show the students examples of how to balance equations. Finally, I assigned a Lab Activity on balancing equations.

Integrated Science- The students started class by taking a quiz over the Periodic Table. Next, I assigned a packet over the Periodic Table.

Chemistry A- Class started with the students 1/2 sheet scrapping the Molecular Weight worksheet. Next, I presented the flux capacitor and we discussed converting using Avogadro's number. Finally, I assigned a worksheet over Converting Using Avogadro's number.

Intro to Chemistry- First, the students took notes from the Chapter 23 Powerpoint presentation. Next, I assigned the Chapter 23 Vocabulary words. The vocab is due on Monday.

Integrated Science B- The students started off by grading the Action Chemistry Worksheet. Next, They watched a video on the Periodic Table. Finally, I assigned a worksheet that dealt with coloring the periodic table.

Chemistry A- To start off class, the students 1/2 Sheet Scrapped their Molar Mass homework. Next, the class completed a Molar Mass Lab. Finally, I assigned another worksheet over Molar Mass.



Intro To Chemistry- First, the class took the test over chapter 22. After the test, the students worked on a Science World. The Science World is due tomorrow.



Integrated Science B- The class started by grading the packet on Lesson 13 that they did yesterday. Next, the students took notes on how to calculate protons, electrons and neutrons. After working some examples, I assigned a worksheet titled Action Chemistry.

If you were absent on Monday February 7th

Chemistry A- First, the class took notes over Atomic mass units (amu), the mole, Avogardo's number and Molar Mass. Next, I assigned a worksheet over Molar Mass.

Intro to Chemistry- To start class, the students watched a video over Chemical Reactions. Next, I performed demonstrations of Chemical Reactions in class. Then, the students were given the rest of the period to read Chapter 23 and study for the Chapter 22 test. The Chapter 22 test will be tomorrow (Feb. 8).

Integrated Science B- First, we checked the worksheet over Elements. Next, we took notes over atomic mass. Finally, I assigned a packet over Atomic Mass.
