  • Chemistry B- The class worked on the Entropy worksheets and cleaned up the lab.

  • Biology B- First, the students took the Vocabulary Quiz. Second, we graded Chapter 8 Sections 1 & 2 worksheets. After taking notes on section 3 of chapter 8, I assigned the Section 3 Worksheet.

If you were absent on Thursday April 28th


  • Chemistry B- Today, the class took notes over Entropy and Energy Changes. Then, they worked on a worksheet over Entropy.

  • Biology B- First, the students completed a worksheet associated with a Science World Magazine. Next, they worked on the Chapter 8 Sections 1 & 2 worksheets. Finally, the students were assigned the assessment questions on page 227 #1-4.

  • Chemistry B- First, the student took notes over the following: Collision Theory, Reaction Rates, Rate Law and Reaction Mechanisms. Next, they were assigned the worksheet over Collision Theory, Reaction Rates and Rate Law.

  • Biology B- To start things off, the students that were absent yesterday took their Chapter 17 make-up Test. Next, the students took notes over Sections 1 & 2 of Chapter 8.

  • Chemistry B- The class took the Test over Phases and Mixtures.

  • Biology B- First, I collected the BSCS assignment from yesterday. Next, we graded the Chapter 17 review and 1/2 sheet scrapped the Assessment Questions. Then, the students took the Chapter 17 test. Finally, I asked the class to read chapter 8.

If you were absent on Monday April 25th


  • Chemistry B- The class went to the Media Center to work on WebAssign. The Test over Phases and Mixtures is tomorrow.

  • Biology B- Today, the class did an assignement in the BSCS book over kingdoms and phylums. Next, they worked on the Chapter 17 Review questions on Pages 507-509 # 1-8, 10-17, and 24-32. The chapter 17 test is tomorrow.

  • Chemistry B- Today had an interesting start. We blew a fuse in 2nd period class and didn't get it fixed in enough time to complete the Computer Lab. Thus, period 2 will do the lab on Monday. Period 5 completed the Computer Lab #15 today.

  • Biology B- First, the students graded the worksheet over section 1 of chapter 17. Next, they took notes over section 3 of chapter 17. Finally I assigned the following: Chapter 17 Section 2 worksheet

If you were absent on Tuesday April 19th


  • Chemistry B- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the colligative properties worksheet. Next, the class performed the Boiling Point Elevation lab. Tomorrow will be computer Lab #15 over Freezing Point Depression.

  • Biology B- Class started by the students handing in Lab 19 over making a Taxonomic Key. Next, we filled out the data table on the Cladogram Activity. Then, the students were instructed to make the Venn diagram and make the Cladogram. Also, the class was assigned the Chapter 17 Section 1 worksheet and the Section 1 Assessment Questions.

If you were absent on Monday April 18th


  • Chemistry B- To start class off, I collected the lab from Friday (Molarity of an Aqueous NaCl Solution). Next, the students took notes on colligative properties of solutions. After working two examples, one on Freezing Point depression and one on Boiling Point elevation, the students were assigned a Worksheet. The worksheet will be graded tomorrow.

  • Biology B- First, the students graded the worksheet over Pamishan Creatures. Next, the class took notes over Section 2 of Chapter 17. Third, we used the SmartBoard to create a taxonomic key using money. Finally, I assigned a lab over making a taxonomic key. The lab will be graded tomorrow.

If you were absent on Friday April 15th


  • Chemistry B- The students performed the lab titled "Molarity of an Aqueous NaCl Solution". The lab is due on Monday.

  • Biology B- First, the student took a vocabulary quiz. Second, the class took notes over section 1 of Chapter 17. Third, as a class, we constructed a dichotomous key using shoes. After making the key, the students were assigned a worksheet over using a dichotomous key. The worksheet is titled "Pamishan Creatures". We will grade the worksheet on Monday.

  • Chemistry B- First, the students completed a 1/2 sheet scrap on the Molarity, Molality and Dilutions worksheet. Next, they performed a Paper Chromatography Lab. Finally, the students discussed the set up for tomorrow's lab over Molarity.

  • Biology B- At the beginning of class, the students completed a 1/2 sheet scrap over the Chapter 15 Assessment questions. Second, the students graded the Chapter 15 Review questions from the book. Next, the class took the Chapter 15 Test. Finally, I asked the students to read Chapter 17 for tomorrow.

  • Chemistry B- Class started today by 1/2 sheet scrapping the page 467 homework from last night. Next, we discussed the solutions quiz from Tuesday. After taking notes and doing a demonstration on dilutions, I assigned a worksheet (Molarity, Molality and Dilutions).

  • Biology B- First, I collected the BSCS Investigation 9.3 from yesterday. Next, the students watched a video over Mechanisms of Evolution. Finally, the class worked on the Chapter 15 review questions (Pages 445-447 # 1-5, 10-17, & 23-27).

  • Chemistry B- To start things off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the two labs (computer labs 13 & 14). Next, the class took a quiz over solutions. Finally, the students were assigned problems 1-3, and 7-12 on page 467.

  • Biology B- First, the class graded the Chapter 15 Section 3 worksheet. Next, the students worked on the BSCS Investigation 9.3 "A Step in Speciation".

  • Chemistry B- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over Molality and had a prelab question. Next, the students completed Computer Lab #14. There will be a quiz over solutions tomorrow.

  • Biology B- Class started by taking the Post-Assessment over the Cladogram project. Next, the students graded the post-assessment. After discussing tomorrows lab, the students were assigned the Chapter 15 Section 3 worksheet and the assessment questions on page 441 #1-4.

  • Chemistry B- To start things off, I worked two problems from pages 465 & 467 in the book. Second, I described molality and worked two molality examples. Finally, I assigned the worksheet over molality. The students will 1/2 sheet scrap the worksheet on Monday. Also, the students will have a prelab quiz.

  • Biology B- Today, the class went to the media center and were introduced to a cladogram. They completed a project on the internet titled "What does a T-Rex taste like?" The students will have a post-assessment on the project on Monday.

  • Chemistry B- First, the students did a 1/2 Sheet Scrap on pages 465 & 467. Next, they performed Computer Lab #13 on Electrolytes vs. Nonelectrolytes. The students will be evaluated on this lab and Computer Lab #14 after they finish both labs.



  • Biology B- To start class off, we graded the section 2 study guide worksheet. Next, the students took notes over Section 3 of Chapter 15. Finally, the students worked on the Rat Island project. It will be due on Monday.

  • Chemistry B- First, I collected the questions from yesterday's lab. Next, the students took notes over the Effects of Pressure and Temperature on the Solubility of substances. Then, I explained Molarity and showed the students how to calculate the Molarity of a solution. Finally, I assigned Page 465 #1-7 and Page 467 # 1-3.

  • Biology B- To start things off, the students got the BSCS books and finished the questions from Investigation 9.2. Next, the class took notes over Section 2 of Chapter 15. After looking at their Vocabulary quiz from Friday, the students worked on two homework assignments (Page 430 #1-4 assessment questions and the worksheet over section 2 of Chapter 15).

  • Chemistry B- Today, the student worked on a lab titled "Factors Affecting Solution Formation". The questions to the lab will be handed in tomorrow.



  • Biology B- To start things off, the students graded the worksheet over Chapter 15 Section 1. Next, they performed a lab in the BSCS Green book titled "Natural Selection- A Simulation" on Pages 218-219. After the lab, the students were assigned the discussion questions # 2, 4, and 5 on Page 219.

  • Chemistry B- Today in class, the students took notes on rates of dissolving, solubility and interactions between solute and solvent. After demonstrating the relationship between oil and water, I assigned questions 1-12 on page 459 of the book.


  • Biology B- Class started by the students taking a Vocabulary Quiz. Next, they copied a chart from Chapter 14 into their notes. Then, the students took notes on Darwin and Natural Selection. Finally, I assigned the Chapter 15 Study Guide over section 1 and the assessment questions on page 422 # 1-4.
