AP Biology- Today, the students took a quiz over Cellular Respiration.  Next, we discussed the Cellular Respiration Project.  Finally, I showed the class BioFlix from the Pearson website.


Chemistry A- First, the students took notes over Ionic Bonding.  Then, I assigned a WebAssign homework due Jan. 3rd.

AP Biology- First, we completed the Cellular Respiration Table on the Citric Acid Cycle.  Next, the students took notes over Oxidative Phosphorylation.  Finally, we filled in the Cellular Respiration Table for the Oxidative Phosphorylation.  There will be a quiz over Chapter 9 tomorrow.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over Bonding Types and page 165.  Next, we took notes over electron dot notation.  Finally, we went to the media center to work on the Formative Assessment Assignment (Chem A Top 25).

Tuesday December 20th

AP Biology- Today, we started class by handing out the Photosynthesis Table.  Then, the students took notes over Chapter 9 Sections 2 and 3.  After viewing the Pearson's Activities on Glycolysis and the Citric Acid Cycle, the students worked on their Cellular Respiration Table.


Chemistry A- To start off class, the students took notes over Chemical Bonding and how to tell if a bond is Ionic or Covalent.  I assigned a worksheet titled "What type of Bond?".  Also, I asked the students to read Pages 158-165 of their book and answer questions #1-13 on page 165.

AP Biology- To start things off, the students reviewed Essay Question #4 and graded their responses.  Next, the class took notes over Chapter 9 Section 1.  The students should print off the Cellular Respiration Chart.


Chemistry A- Today, the class took a Test over Atoms, Electron Configuration and the Periodic Table.

AP Biology- First, the students took a quiz/test over photosynthesis.  After the quest, I took a completion grade on the Chapter 10 Study Guide.  Finally, the students worked on Essay question #4 which is due Monday.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students graded the Periodic Table quiz.  Next, we went to the Media Center to work on WebAssign.  The Test over Atoms, Electron Configurations, and The Periodic Table is on Monday.

AP Biology- Today, we reviewed the quiz over Photosystem I and II.  Then, the students did a second trial of Lab #4 Part B.  Our results yesterday were off, so we reexamined the lab.  Tomorrow, the students will have a Quest over Photosynthesis.  Also, the chapter 10 study guide is due.


Chemistry A- To start things off, we graded the electron configurations quiz from yesterday.  Next, the students took a quiz over The Periodic Table.  Finally, we did a lab over the periodic table.

Chemistry A- During class today, we review electron configurations and talked about WebAssign.  Then, the students took notes over the Periodic Table.  I reminded them not to forget about the two assignments on WebAssign due Monday.

AP Biology- Today, the students finished the notes over Chapter 10.  Then, we watched some of the Pearson Activities on the SmartBoard.  Tomorrow, the students will take a quiz over the Photosystems (I and II) and will do the first part of Lab #4.


Chemistry A- To start off class, we review the four quantum numbers and discussed main points of each.  Then, we used these numbers to construct electron configurations. Finally, I assigned a worksheet on electron configurations.

Chemistry A- Today, we started class by 1/2 sheet scrapping the worksheet Measurements and Calculations.  Next, I collected the Density of an Unknown Metal lab.  Then, we took notes over The Atomic Theory and the structure of atoms.

AP Biology- Today, the students took the Unit Four Test: Cells and Transport.  Then, I assigned an essay question that we will look over on Friday.  Tomorrow, we will start Unit Five: Photosynthesis.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet Units of Measurements.  Next, they performed the Lab- The Density of an Unknown Metal and Accuracy & Precision.  The lab as well as the worksheet over Measurements and Calculations will be due tomorrow.

AP Biology- To start class off, the students finished Lab #3A- Mitosis.  Then, they studied for the Unit Four Test that they will take tomorrow.


Chemistry A- First, we 1/2 sheet scrapped the Matter and Change worksheet.  Next, the students finished notes over metals, nonmetals, and metalloids.  Then, I showed the class how to log into WebAssign and asked them to change their passwords today.  Finally, we went to the media center to research significant figures, the even rule, scientific notation and the metric system.

Chemistry A- In the beginning of class, I had each student show me that their book was covered.  Next, we took notes over the branches of chemistry, physical and chemical changes and the periodic table.  I assigned the worksheet matter and change.

AP Biology- Today, the students took a quiz over Chapter 12 and Lab #1.  Then, they worked on their study guides for Chapter 12. Finally, the students need to read Lab #3A.


Chemistry A- During class, the students took the ACS Pre-Test.  We will have a Bookcover Quiz on Monday and also go over the Skills Review Worksheet.

Thursday December 1st

AP Biology- During class, the students finished notes over Chapter 12.  Then, we discussed Lab #1 Diffusion and Osmosis.  We will have a Chapter 12 and Lab #1 quiz tomorrow.  


Chemistry A- To start things off, the students filled out the students information sheet.  After turning in the information sheet and the Safety Video Worksheet, the students completed a Clock Partner activity.  Then, the students took inventory of their lab drawers and found their goggles.  Finally, I assigned a skills review worksheet.  Tomorrow will be the ACS Pre-Test.

AP Biology- Today, the students took notes over Chapter 12 sections 1 and part of section 2.  I told them that it would be a great idea to make flashcards of the 5 steps of mitosis.


Chemistry A- First, I showed the students my website and this blog.  Next, they completed the worksheet while watching the safety video.  They will turn in the worksheet tomorrow.

AP Biology- Today, the students finished notes over Chapter 7 sections 4 and 5.  We also viewed animations from the Pearson website over Active and Passive Transport.


Chemistry A- First, I assigned students their seats and discussed the classroom rules.  After handing out books, I talked about tornado and fire drills and locations.  Finally, the students viewed the lab safety powerpoint.  Students are to have their books covered by Monday December 5th.

AP Biology- Today, we finished notes on Chapter 7 section 3.  Then, the students worked on their lab (Diffusion and Osmosis).  The Trimester Exam is on Tuesday.


Biology A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Human Pedigree.  Then, the class took the trimester vocabulary test.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet over genetics.  Both Period 1 and Period 2 Trimester Exams are on Tuesday.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the extra credit packet.  Then, the took the Reaction Prediction Test.  The WebAssign over Reaction Predictions is due Monday morning.  The Trimester Exam for Chemistry A is on Monday.

AP Biology- To start things off, the students took a quiz over chapter 7.  Next, they made the observations of part C of the Diffusion and Osmosis lab.  Finally, the students worked on the Chapter 7 study guide.


Biology A- Today, the students took a quiz over genetics.  Then, they worked on their Trimester Exam study guide or studied for the Trimester Vocabulary Quiz (which is tomorrow). 


Chemistry A- During class, the students worked on the Reaction Prediction review packet.  This will be bonus for the test.  The Reaction Prediction Test will be on Friday.

Wednesday November 16th

AP Biology- To start things off, I handed out a Worksheet over Cell Membranes.  Then, the students performed parts C and E of the Lab #1 Diffusion and Osmosis.  Tomorrow, there will be a quiz over chapter 7. 


Biology A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over human genetics.  Then, the class performed the fingerprint investigation.  Next, I handed out a worksheet over Human Pedigrees and a Study Guide for the Trimester Exam.


Chemistry A- At the beginning of class, the students took a pre-lab quiz.  Next, the student performed the lab over composition and decomposition.  Finally, the students looked over the quiz from yesterday.

Biology A- To start things off, the students reviewed their Vocab Quiz #6.  Next, the class took notes over Sex Linked Traits.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet over Sex Linked Traits.


Chemistry A- Today, the students performed a Double Replacement Lab.  Then, I assigned the Reaction Prediction #3 worksheet.

AP Biology- Class started off by taking a quiz over cell organelles.  Then, the students presented their organelle poster.  Finally, the class worked on the Chapter 6 Study Guide.  We will 1/2 Sheet Scrap the study guide on Monday.

Biology A- To start class off, the students took Vocabulary Quiz #6.  Then, we discussed the Genetics quiz from yesterday.  Finally, the class went to the Media Center and worked on a Karyotype Worksheet on the Internet.

Chemistry A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Reaction Predictions #1 worksheet.  Then, the class group up into clock partners and reviewed the worksheet.  Finally, we went to the Media Center to work on the WebAssign homework.  There will be a Lab over Predicting Outcomes on Monday.

AP Biology- First, we reviewed the diagrams of the plant and animal cell.  Next, the students took notes over Chapter 7 section 1.  Finally, the students worked on the Chapter 6 Study Guide.  We will 1/2 sheet scrap the study guide on Monday.


Biology A- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet (Genetics).  Next, they took a quiz over Genetics #2.  Finally, I assigned the worksheet over Multiple Alleles.  Vocabulary Quiz #6 will be tomorrow.


Chemistry A- At the beginning of class, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over single replacement.  Second, I explained that the quiz over Reaction Predictions will be postponed until Tuesday.  We will 1/2 sheet scrap Reaction Prediction Worksheets 1& 2 tomorrow.  Finally, the students performed the Activity Series of A Metal Lab.

AP Biology- During class, the students took notes over chapter 6 sections 6 & 7.  Then, they work on labeling the plant cell diagram.  


Biology A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Multiple Allele/ Codominance worksheet.  Then, we worked the worksheet and the dihybrid cross worksheet on the board.  Next, I show the students how to access the StudyBlue website to study vocabulary words.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet over Genetics.


Chemistry A- Today, we finished taking notes on Reaction Predictions (Single Replacement, Double Replacement and Combusion).  I assigned two worksheets (Single Replacement and Reaction Predictions #1).  Tomorrow will be the Activity Series of Metals Lab.

Biology A- First, I took a completion grade on the Dihybrid Cross worksheet.  Next, the students took notes over Codominance and Multiple Allele crosses.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet over Multiple Alleles.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the balancing equations worksheet.  Next, we finished the notes on reaction predictions (combination and decomposition) and started the notes over single replacement.  I asked the students to try the worksheet on single replacement, but it won't be due tomorrow.

AP Biology- First, the students gave a brief description of their DNA Timeline Project.  Then, the class took notes over Chapter 6 Sections 1, 2 and 3.  Finally, I assigned the Organelle Project and the students picked which organelle they wanted to make their poster on.


Biology A- To start class off, the students took notes over test crosses and dihybrid crosses.  After working multiple examples of dihybrid crosses, I assigned a worksheet over dihybrid crosses.  


Chemistry A- Today, the students took notes over Chemical reactions, Balancing equations and Combination reactions.  I assigned a worksheet over Balancing Equations.

AP Biology- Today, the students took the Unit three: Chemistry of Life Test.


Biology A- To start class off, the students turned in their Traits graph and we 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet (Bikini Bottoms #2).  Then, they took a quiz over genetics (#1).  Finally, the class worked on a Lab- Variations of the Human Face.  The lab is due on Monday.


Chemistry A- After 1/2 sheet scrapping the bonus, the students took the Chemical Quantities Test.

Biology A- Today, the students had a completion grade on their worksheet.  Next, we discussed the worksheet and completed a lab on monohybrid traits.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet on monohybrid traits and a graph to complete based on the lab.  Tomorrow will be a quiz over genetics.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheets over Molecular and Empirical formulas.  Then, they took a quiz over percent composition, molecular formula and empirical formula.  Tomorrow will be the chemical quantities test.

Chemistry A- During class, the students performed the lab- Empirical Formula Determination.   Tomorrow, we will have a quiz over percent composition, empirical formula and molecular formula.

Chemistry A- At the beginning of class, the students looked over their quiz from yesterday.  Then, we took notes over empirical and molecular formulas.  Finally, I assigned two worksheets: Empirical Formula (Even) and Molecular Formula (All of them).

AP Biology- Today, the class started the Enzyme Catalysis Lab (Dirty Dozen #2).  They should have completed parts 2A, 2B, and 2C.  


Biology A- To start things off, we graded the venn diagram over Mitosis vs. Meiosis.  Next, the students watched most of the video "Life's Greatest Miracle".  Finally, I assigned the 10.1 assessment questions on page 276 # 1-5.  Tomorrow will be a vocabulary quiz and a meiosis test.


Chemistry A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheets (Molar volume and Density).  Next, I worked examples of Percent Composition.  After reviewing the Molar Conversions I quiz with their clock partners, the students worked on the Percent Composition (level 1) worksheet.

Biology A- Today, the students finished the Meiosis lab.  I assigned a venn diagram over Meiosis vs. Mitosis.


Chemistry A- To start things off, the students took a pre-lab quiz.  Then, the students performed the Lab: Determining the Gram Atomic Mass of an Element.  Tomorrow, we will 1/2 sheet scrap the worksheets (Mass to Volume and Density).

AP Biology- Today, class started by discussing the DNA timeline project.  Next, the students took a quiz over Lipids and Proteins.  Finally, they worked on the DNA timeline project.  I assigned the Chapter 5 study guide.


Biology A- To start things off, I collected the Karyotype lab from yesterday.  Then, the students took notes over Chapter 10.1 (Meiosis II).  Finally, the students started working on a Meiosis Lab.  The lab will be due on Thursday.


Chemistry A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Practice Quiz.  Next, we worked some of the Practice Quiz on the SmartBoard.  Then, the students took notes over Density and Molar Mass.  After taking a quiz over Molar Conversions I, I assigned the worksheets over Mass to Volume and Density.

AP Biology- To start class off, the students review the Chapter 5 quiz over carbohydrates and lipids.  Next, the class took notes over Section 5.5 (Nucleic Acids).  Finally, I assigned the Nucleic acid part of the macromolecule worksheet and a worksheet over DNA.  There will be a quiz over Lipids and Proteins tomorrow.


Biology A- First, the students got back their Chapter 9 Test and made corrections to the problems that they missed.  Second, we graded the worksheet over chapter 10.1 and the concept map.  Finally, the students worked on the Karyotype lab that will be turned in tomorrow.


Chemistry A- Today, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over conversion problems.  Next, the students worked some of the problems from the worksheet on the SmartBoard.  Then, I presented notes over conversions using the molar volume.  Finally, I assigned a practice quiz over Molar Conversions.  There will be a quiz over Molar Conversions tomorrow.

AP Biology- To start class off, we all sang Happy Birthday to KATLIN ROBINSON!!!!!  Next, we 1/2 sheet scrapped the carbohydrate and lipid sections of the Macromolecule worksheet.  Third, the students took a quiz over carbohydrates and lipids.  Fourth, the students took notes over Chapter 5.4 (Proteins).  Finally, I assigned the proteins section of the macromolecule worksheet.  


Biology A- First, the students that didn't take the test yesterday took it today.  Next, the students took notes over Chapter 10.1 (Meiosis).  Finally, I assigned two worksheets (10.1 and Concept Map) due Monday.


Chemistry A- At the start, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over mole to mass conversions.  Next, the class worked with their clock partner to go over the worksheet.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet over Conversions Problems.

Chemistry A- To start things off, I took a completion grade on the Avogadro's Number worksheet.  Then, the students went over the worksheet with their 7 o' clock partner.  Third, I work examples of converting from Moles to Mass and Mass to Moles.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet over Mass to Mole conversions.

Biology A- To start off class, the students graded the worksheet (9.3).  Next, we graded the quiz over mitosis.  After reviewing the mitosis lab on the SmartBoard, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Chapter 9 Assessment Questions.  Finally, I assigned the Chapter 9 Review (Pages 261-263 # 1-8, 14-24, 28-35)  The Chapter 9 Test will be tomorrow.


Chemistry A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over molecular weight.  Next, they watched the video "The Amazing Mole".  After the video, the class took notes over converting using Avogardo's number and worked some examples.  Finally, I assigned the worksheet- Converting Using Avogardo's Number.

AP Biology- During class today, the students started the Carbohydrate Lab.  They needed to come in during advisory period to make observations on Part I.  Tomorrow, we will complete parts II-V.


Biology A- First, the class graded worksheet 9.2.  Then, the students took a quiz over mitosis.  Finally, I assigned two things, a worksheet over 9.3 and the 9.3 assessment questions on page 257 #1-6.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped their molar mass worksheet.  Next, the students performed the Molar Mass Lab.  Finally, the class worked on the Molecular weight worksheet that is due tomorrow.  We will watch the video "The Amazing Mole" tomorrow.

Biology A- First, I collected the Mitosis Flip Book bonus.  Next, the students performed the lab over mitosis.  Then, I assigned the assessment questions on page 252 #1-5.

Biology A- Today, class started by taking a vocabulary quiz (#4).  Next, the students took notes over Chapter 9.3.  Then, the students finished the discussion questions over Investigation 5.3 and handed them in.  Finally, I assigned Worksheet 9.2.


Chemistry A- The students went to the Media Center to take the Test over Nomenclature.

AP Biology- To start class off, the students finished taking notes over functional groups.  Then, I told the students to make notecards to help them study for the functional groups quiz (which will be tomorrow).  Finally, I assigned the worksheet over functional groups (Chapter 4 worksheet).


Biology A- First, the students took notes over chapter 9.2 (mitosis).  Next, I explained the mitosis flip book bonus (due Monday Oct. 17th).  Finally, the students got into their lab groups from yesterday and worked on the Investigation 5.3 discussion questions.  Tomorrow the class will have Vocabulary Quiz #4.


Chemistry A- At the start of class, the students took a quiz over nomenclature.  Then, they went to the media center to work on WebAssign.  The WebAssign is due on Monday.  Also, the test over nomenclature will be tomorrow.

AP Biology- To start things off, the class reviewed the Chapter 3 quiz from yesterday.  Next, the students took the lab assessment over How Much Water Can Fit on a Penny? and Lab #3 Acids and Bases.  Finally, the students took notes over 4.3 (functional groups).


Biology A- Today, we started class by grading the worksheet 9.1.  Then, the students performed the Investigation 5.3 in the BSCS (Green) book.  The class will work on the Discussion questions (Page 121 #1-7) tomorrow during class.  Also, I assigned the 9.1 Assessment questions (Page 247 #1-3).


Chemistry A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Anion Lab from yesterday.  Then, we went to the Media Center to work on the WebAssign assignment.

AP Biology- Today, class started by the students taking a quiz over Chapter 3.  Next, the students took notes over sections 4.1 and 4.2.  Tomorrow, the class with take the lab assessment over the two labs from last week.


Biology A- First, the students that were absent on Friday took the test.  The other students took notes over section 9.1 Cell Growth.  Next, the students copied a diagram from their books into their notes.  Third, I passed back the test from Friday and the students got 1/2 point for every answer they corrected.  Finally, I assigned worksheet 9.1.


Chemistry A- To start class off, the students graded the quiz over nomenclature II.  Then, the class performed the lab over anions.

Biology A- Class started with the students grading their chapter 7 review questions.  Then, the students took the Chapter 7 Test.  I assigned the class to read chapter 9.


Chemistry A- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the oxidation numbers worksheet.  Next, the class took a quiz over nomenclature II.  Finally, we went to the media center to work on the Nomenclature WebAssign.
The class needs to read the Anion Lab for Monday.

AP Biology- Class started today by taking a homework grade on the Chapter 3 Study Guide.  Next, the students started the Computer lab #3 Acids and Bases.


Biology A- First, the class checked the worksheet over diffusion.  Next, I showed examples of hypertonic and hypotonic cells.  After 1/2 sheet scrapping the assessment questions, the students took a quiz over organelles and their functions.  Finally, I assigned the chapter 7 review (pages 211-213 # 1-6, 11-15, 21-27, 33-37.)  The Chapter 7 Test will be tomorrow.


Chemistry A- To start things off, the class 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheets (Naming Binary Molecular Compounds and Naming Acids).  Next, I gave notes over oxidation numbers and naming molecular compounds using the stock system.  Finally, I assigned a worksheet over oxidation numbers.  There will be a nomenclature II quiz tomorrow.

Biology A- First, the students graded the Cell-A-Bration Project.  Next, they finished BSCS Investigation 5.2 and answered the discussion questions.  Third, I demonstrated how to complete the diffusion worksheet.  Finally, I assigned the diffusion worksheet.  Also, I postponed the quiz over organelles and functions.  


Chemistry A- Today, the students performed the Lab- Testing for Iron (II) and Iron (III) ions.  I assigned a worksheet over naming acids.

Friday September 30th

AP Biology- First, the class discussed the essay question on yesterday's test.  Next, the students took notes on chapter 2 (chemistry review).  There will be a quiz over chapter 2 on Monday.


Biology A- To start things off, the students graded the 7.3 worksheet.  Next, they took vocabulary quiz #3.  Finally, the students worked on staining slides and viewing the slides under the microscope.  There will be a quiz over Cell Organelles and Functions on Monday.

Biology A- First, the students took a microscope quiz.  Next, they took notes over Cell Types and the Plasma Membrane.  Then, the students continued to work on their Microscope from Monday.  Finally, I assigned the Worksheets over Chapter 7.1 and 7.2.


Chemistry A- Today, the students attempted to take a test on WebAssign.  However, it was a bad tech day and the test didn't work.  So, the students printed out two sheets (the ion sheet and the polyatomic ion sheet) for Thursday.  They will take the bonding test tomorrow.

Biology A- Today, the students graded two assignments (DNA worksheet and Chapter 6 Review).  Then, we did a post lab discussion on investigation 4.2.  There will be a test over Chapter 6 tomorrow.


Chemistry A- First, we went over the covalent bonding quiz.  Next, the students took notes over ionic bonds and ionic compounds.  Then, I assigned Page 183-184 # 1-4, 7-13, 16, 23, 25-28.

Biology A- Today, the students completed part B of the Inv. 4.2 from the BSCS book.  After the lab, I assigned the chapter 6 review questions on pages 175-177 # 1-8, 14-20, 25-32, 38-44, & 47.


Chemistry A- First, the student took the quiz over Covalent Bonds #2.  Then, they worked on the Lab- Molecular Models.  If the students didn't complete the lab, they should come to Room 111 during advisory to work on the lab.

Biology A- Class started by discussing the graphs from Investigation 4.3.  Next, the students took notes over section 3 of Chapter 6.  Finally, I walked the students through Logger Pro and how to use the computer probes.  I assigned the assessment questions for Section 6.1 and 6.2.

Chemistry A- First, the students graded the electron configurations quiz that they took on Friday.  Next, they took a periodic table quiz.  Finally, the students started to work on a Periodic Table Lab.  FYI: Wednesday will be the Test over Atoms, Arrangement of Electrons and The Periodic Law.  Also, the WebAssign is due on Wednesday.

Chemistry A- To start things off, the student filled out an information sheet.  Next, I collect the worksheet from the safety video.  Then, the students worked on the clock partners challenge.  After taking inventory on their lab drawers, I assigned the worksheet over skills review.

  • Chemistry B- First, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Ka lab. Then, the class went to the Media Center to work on WebAssign.
  • Biology B- To start class off, the students 1/2 sheet scrapped the Census 2000 worksheet. Next, the students completed a Science World. Then, they worked on the Chapter 4 Review on Pages 109-111 # 1-13, 23-30, 35. The Chapter 4 Test will be tomorrow.

If you were absent on Tuesday May 24th

  • Chemistry B- Underclassmen performed the Computer Lab #27 "Acid Dissociation Constant Ka". Seniors took the second part of the Trimester Exam.

  • Biology B- First, the students graded the lab over Random Sampling. Next, we graded the worksheet on Chapter 4 Section 2. Finally, the class performed the lab over capture/ recapture titled Mice in a Wood Lot.

  • Chemistry B- First, the underclassmen took a quiz over neutralizations and titrations. After the Quiz, the students went to the Media Center to work on WebAssign. The seniors took part I of the Trimester Exam.



  • Biology B- At the beginning of class, I collect the Population Riddle Bonus. Next, the students outlined Section 2 of Chapter 4 in their notebooks. Finally, I assigned the following:

  2. Worksheet- Chapter 4 Section 2

  3. Assessment Questions Page 105 # 1-4

  • Chemistry B- To start things off, the class 1/2 sheet scrapped the Titrations #2 worksheet. Next, the students performed an Acid/ Base Titration Lab.



  • Biology B- First, I collect the Population Research Activity. Next, the students graded their Chapter 4 section 1 worksheet. Third, the class took Vocabulary Quiz #13. Then, after demonstrating how to take a random sample, the students worked on the Random Sampling Lab. Finally, I handed out the Population Riddle Bonus.

  • Chemistry B- First, the class 1/2 sheet scrapped the worksheet over calculating pH and the Ka problem from the website. After working the Ka problem, the students took a quiz over Ka. Finally, the class performed a lab over pH and color indicators.



  • Biology B- To start things off, the students graded the chapter 3 review on pages 85-87. Next, the class 1/2 sheet scrapped the Chapter 3 Assessment Questions. Third, the students took the Chapter 3 Test. Finally, I asked to class to read Chapter 4.

  • Chemistry B- The class continued taking notes on acids and bases. Today we discussed pH, Bronsted/Lowry acids and bases, and Lewis acids and bases. I assigned a worksheet over calculating pH and a Ka problem from the website.




  • Biology B- To start things off, we graded the worksheet over Chapter 3 section 3. Next, we went to the Media Center to finish the Biomes Charts. Finally, I assigned the chapter 3 review on pages 85-87 # 1-4, 8, 11, 14-16, 18-21 & 24-29.

  • Chemistry B- Today, we started the topic of Acids and Bases. The students took notes over properties of acids and bases, Arrhenius acids and bases and Dissociation Constants.

  • Biology B- First, the students took Vocab Quiz #12. Second, the class graded the Chapter 3 section 2 worksheet. Third, the students went to the Media Center to work on the Classifications of Biomes chart. Finally, I assigned the worksheet over Chapter 3 Section 3 and the assessment questions on page 81 #1-4.
